For a plane journey from London Luton Airport to Lisbon Portela Airport , I recommend : right side "Great view on the right hand side !" On the right side, you'll see awesome landscape ! For a plane journey from London Heathrow Airport to Lisbon Portela Airport , I recommend : right side "London - Lisbon" If your flight into Lisbon approaches the airport from the south (as they often do) then you must sit on the right hand side of the plane to get the best view. The airport is very close to the city centre so you'll get a great first view of the city as you fly in and will feel like you can touch the roofs of the buildings. Of course it's luck of the draw if your flight approaches from the south or north but I think it's a risk worth taking to sit on the right hand. For a plane journey from London Luton Airport to Lisbon Portela Airport , I recommend : left side "First city view " On the left you get a great view of the river Tagus and the 25th of April bridge as you begin to descend. You'll also get the first view of Lisbon. If you are on the right you'll just mostly see the ocean until you're practically already on the ground. As you begin to approach the runway you'll fly in between buildings which to me is always nerve wrecking but absolutely amazing at the same time. The company I traveled with : easyJet
